Pedestrian tunnel at the Toronto City Centre Airport

About 10 days ago, the pedestrian tunnel to the Toronto City Centre Airport finally opened. As the small airport is located on the islands that face Downtown Toronto, you have to cross the water to reach it. Until now, you had to take a ferry, for one of the world’s shortest ferry rides. With this new pedestrian tunnel, the travel time is reduced and the airport is even more convenient.

Commissioned by Ports Toronto, the tunnel was designed by Arup Canada and ZAS Architects.
